While Manual Lymphatic Drainage originated in Europe, developed by Dr. Emil Vodder, the Brazilian “Modeladora” technique is the recognized method from Brazil. Any other approach labeled “Brazilian” is typically an individualized creation. Neria’s MLD method was created and developed based on Dr. Emil Vodder’s Manual Lymphatic Drainage principles, adapted with a Brazilian touch because Marineria is originally from Brazil—hence it is called Neria’s method.
